How to Replace a VOZOL Mega 50K Pod
Pulling the old pod, seating the new one, priming the coil, and what to check when a fresh pod does nothing.
A Mega 50K pod is 18mL of 5% salt nicotine plus a new dual mesh coil, with no battery inside. It clicks onto a Mega 50K base you already own and costs about four dollars less than a full kit. It does not fit the Vista 40K or the Star 40K.
What a Mega 50K Pod Contains
Three things: 18 millilitres of pre-filled 5% salt nicotine e-liquid, a dual mesh coil, and the wick that feeds it. No battery, no charging port, no screen. Everything electronic lives in the base.
The coil is the part that matters most and it is the reason pods are worth buying rather than merely cheaper. Coil ageing, not liquid running out, is what makes a high-capacity disposable start tasting dull. A new pod resets that completely, so a Mega 50K on its fourth pod tastes like a Mega 50K on its first.
Before You Start: What Fits What

When a New Kit Is the Right Call Instead
Two situations. You want a second base so one can charge while you use the other, or your existing base has developed a fault and needs replacing outright. In every other case a pod is the cheaper move — the running-cost arithmetic sits on the pods listing and on the price page.
How to Swap a Mega 50K Pod
Pull the empty pod straight up off the base. It is a friction fit with magnetic contacts, so it comes away with a firm pull rather than a twist.
Wipe the contacts on the base with a dry cloth before fitting the new one. Condensed liquid on the contacts is the most common cause of a fresh pod that appears not to work, and it takes two seconds to prevent.
Press the new pod down until it clicks and seats flush. A pod sitting slightly proud makes no electrical contact, and the device behaves exactly as though the battery were dead. Then take two or three short priming draws without the device firing hard, to let the wick saturate before you draw properly.
